Subsidised MTB Leadership Courses
The club is looking to support mountain biking and to introduce regular MTB rides for juniors and adults. To enable us to do this we require ride leaders.
Through negotiations with British Cycling we can offer 6 members the opportunity to qualify as Mountain Bike Level 2 Ride Leaders.
Costs:
- Registration on the MTB course – £95.00 funded by British Cycling
- 2 day MTB Ride Leader Level 2 course – £200.00 funded by British Cycling
- 2 day outdoor first aid course – £55.00 paid for by the individual, usually £120.00
- Final assessment – £75.00 with Cycle Active paid for by the individual
Requirements:
- Individual must have British Cycling membership Ride Level or above and Kendal Cycle Club membership
- Commit to support 1-2 junior rides per month on a rota basis.
- Have done 20 rides in the 6 months prior to the course
